Jeremy Wasser, PhD.

Dr. Jeremy Wasser is co-founder and Director of galerie PLUTO. An Associate Professor with joint appointments in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and the College of Medicine at Texas A&M University, Dr. Wasser is known for lively discourse. His global classroom engages students within an interdisciplinary approach to physiology, the history of medicine, and the marriage of art and science. Along with his scientific publications, Dr. Wasser has written and lectured on the culture of disease, the history of public health and health policy, and the history of human experimentation for a wide audience. In addition to his work as an academic, he is a classically trained singer, actor and storyteller who engages with visual artists and creatives regularly in performance venues worldwide.
Jane Brucker
Co-founder
Jane Brucker, is a visual and performance artist who demonstrates a strong tactile sensibility while simultaneously exploring the visceral and the spiritual. Her work has been featured at venues throughout the United States and internationally, in Nepal, Germany, Scotland, France, Japan and the Czech Republic. Her degrees include an MFA from The Claremont Graduate University; MA in Religion and the Arts from The Claremont School of Theology; and Skowhegan School of Sculpture and Painting, where she was awarded a scholarship to study painting with Agnes Martin and traditional buon’ fresco with Lucienne Bloch. In addition to her studio practice, she is a professor at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles where her teaching incorporates her expertise as an AmSAT certified teacher of the Alexander Technique.
Miranda Friedman
Associate
Miranda Friedman is a filmmaker, artist and designer working with psychologists to explore kin making innovation and relationships of care. Friedman grounds unfamiliar kin structures in the familiar vernacular of reality TV and virtual sites. Friedman has exhibited in the US, Germany, Turkey, and Hungary and holds an MFA from Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts. Miranda’s background includes eight years in corporate advertising as an art director and designer. At galerie PLUTO, Miranda assists with everything from timelines to tech and enjoys applying art and communications to the language development and content organization of the PLUTO brand.
